The wait is over, Qmobile A1 aka Google Android One has been added in INCPak Android fleet, This post is complete autopsy of Google Android One in which not only the specs, benchmark results, quick review also how to Root Qmobile A1 aka Google Android One and custom roms available for it.

INCPak Team member Ahmer Zaidi just bought Qmobile A1 aka Google Android One and in the very first hour he rooted Qmobile A1 and ported Custom rom on it, Android Lollipop 5.x based which he says improved the performance, The stock rom is also Lollipop 5.x but  Antutu Benchmark was around 20,000 something meanwhile the custom rom ported by Ahmer added 2000 more made it over 22000 Antutu Benchmark result.

Qmobile A1 aka Google Android One gets the support from Google, System updates are promised by Google this is happening for the first time in Pakistan specially when it comes to Qmobile that any smartphone gets support by Google directly and the specs were tested by Google before it was launched.

Althought the specs are not very appealing as compared to other smartphones available in the market, but Google Android One is pretty stable and decent looking smartphone.

Google Android One looks more alike Motorola Moto G / Moto X in shape “ appearance “ however the technical specification differs,smartphone launched with updated lollipop 5.x version, although the battery is 1700 mAh but with the Android  lollipop Os, you get the best battery timing as compared to Kitkat 4.x.x based smartphones.

Samsung has launched another variant of its Galaxy S4 Mini smartphone in India.  Samsung I9195I Galaxy S4 Mini Plus. The smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD (540x960p) display and runs on Android KitKat.

Galaxy S4 mini plus has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 64-bit architecture 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, the phone has 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Galaxy S4 Mini Plus can also hold microSD cards of up to 64GB.

The new Samsung phone offers 1,900mAh battery and comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.9MP front camera.

The phone supports 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS as connectivity options.

Closing remarks :- Overall the smartphone is fully equipped with powerful features, but you need to update the stock rom manually because official update is not available, Naveed Saleem seem happy with the device and his sweeto ( Camera Result Picture ) So Oppo Find 7A qualifies, at this price I think Snapdragon processor and Antutu Benchmark which is higher than Xperia Z2 ( Approx 40,000 ) makes this smarty more interesting.

Dear esteemed infinix fans I’ve prepared this tutorial as a guide to help fans update their phones via flash tool without any hiccups. Let’s keep it simple and short. Requirements before proceeding.

1. Vcom port driver            lick here to download

2. Infinix rom .zip file       Infinix x551 20150813

                                            Infinix x507Lollipop beta version3 20150811

                                            Infinix zero 2(x509) Lollipop beta 2.0 20150806

3. Latest Sp flash tool      Download here

4. A pc with healthy usb port and your infinix usb cable and full charge.

5. Obviously the infinix phone which should have a 90% charge.

6. Back up your files and contacts A.Installing Vcom port driver

1. Extract the downloaded vcom driver.

2. Go to device manager>click action>click add legacy hardware

3. Under welcome to add new hardware click next

4. Select advanced option and click next

5. Select ‘show all devices’ and click next.

6. Click have disk

7. Browse to your vcom extracted folder and select the driver setup up file and click open, then ok.

8. Select Mediatek preloader usb vcom driver and click next

8. In case a warning comes up just click install anyway. For windows 8 and above please disable driver signature enforcement as explained Here

9. The final look at device manager should be like this

B.GET YOUR PHONE READY

1. Make sure phone has about 90% charge as well as your pc.

2. Enable usb debugging under settings>developer options 3. Connect to Pc…ignore any driver failure warnings. C.FLASHING 1. Navigate to the sp flash tool folder 2. Run the sp flash tool.exe as admin

3. Click on scatter loading, Navigate to the Infinix rom folder and select the scatter file. Make sure you select the firmware upgrade option as shown below

4. Click on download. Restart your phone using the power button and wait. The phone will be upgraded on booting-Make sure you don’t tamper with usb at this point.

5. The final result after about 5-10 min should be like this if all went well.

6. After that confirmation close flash tool. Disconnect phone and switch it on. It will take some minutes before the setup is complete. Just be patient.

This is my first mediatek device and I’ve found no difference in normal usage from snapdragon , particularly talking about snapdragon 800 ,which is in my G3. PepsiCo Inc said on Monday it is working with a licensing partner to market a line of mobile rings and accessories in China in the next few months.

The food and beverage company however has no designs to get in to the mobile phone manufacturing business, a PepsiCo spokeswoman said by e-mail.

“Available in China only, this work is similar to recent globally licensed Pepsi products which include apparel and accessories,” the spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman did not name the licensing partner or give any further details about the phone.

Expertise net site Mobipicker was the first to document, on October 11, that PepsiCo would release a smartphone, called Pepsi P1, with “decent but not high-end specs” on October twenty.

PepsiCo already has plenty of licensees across numerous categories. Last year, it tied up with companies such as Danish luxury stereo and TV maker Bang & Olufsen and Spanish shoemaker Del Toro for a range of products for its footy campaign.

PepsiCo’s shares were down 0.5 percent at $99 in late afternoon trading on Monday, while the broader market was flat.

Google has highlighted 11 security flaws in Samsung’s flagship Android handset, the Galaxy S6 Edge.

The vulnerabilities include a loophole that could have been used by hackers to gain control of a victim’s phone.

Most of the issues were fixed after Google notified Samsung, but some have yet to be addressed.

One independent expert said the bugs “significantly weakened the security” of Google’s operating system.

“There is definitely a tension between Google and the handset manufacturers because Google wants to protect its Android brand, and when it comes to security, Android has been quite tarnished,” added Dr Steven Murdoch, a security researcher at University College London.

“Some of that is down to the extra software that handset manufacturers add.”

A statement from Samsung said the three remaining bugs would be fixed via a security update later this month.

“Maintaining the trust of our customers is a top priority”, said the company.

Hijacked emails

It said that several of the flaws would have been “trivial to exploit”.

“Over the course of a week, we found a total of 11 issues with a serious security impact,” the team blogged.

“The majority of these issues were fixed on the device we tested via an OTA [over the air] update within 90 days.

“It is promising that the highest severity issues were fixed and updated on-device in a reasonable timeframe.”

Among the vulnerabilities was a weakness found in Samsung’s email software that could have allowed hackers to forward a victim’s messages to their own account.

Another allowed attackers to alter the settings of Samsung’s photo-viewing app by sending the handset a specially encoded image.

But Google said the most interesting issue was the existence of a “directory traversal bug” in a wi-fi utility built in to the phone.

“If someone provided malicious data to the software, they could then change other files on the system and interfere with other functions, in particular security functions,” said Dr Murdoch.

To do this, he said, a hacker would also need to convince their target to install a malicious app, which might appear to have very limited access to the phone’s other functions.

But by exploiting the flaw, the malware could then escalate its privileges.

“This would only happen as part of a chain of events, but eventually it could allow someone to take over the entire phone,” Dr Murdoch added.

“Android tries to have layers of protection, so even if you break past one level of protection there’s another one.

“This removed some quite important layers of that protection.”

Samsung confirmed it had addressed this particular issue in a security update released last month.

“Samsung encourages users to keep their software and apps updated at all times,” added a spokesman.

After introducing and launching the Zero 2, Hot Note Pro and Hot 2, Infinix is cooking up another device to be launched on November 27, 2015.

We have witnessed this device as Infinix ‘Big 6’ on the social Media and it is rumored to be named as ‘Note 2’ (Model Name: X600) and would be the predecessor of the Infinix Hot Note.

I been getting multiple complaints on INCPak Forum from the customers of Bytes.pk about used Smartphones they bought from there, In which 3G wasn’t working, specifically  American carrier Sprint sets have this complaint, The whole idea of buying any smartphone is to use Internet on it without the connectivity smartphone makes no sense.

When I read the comments on the forum, I was totally disappointed – It’s not just Bytes.pk is selling American carriers used smartphones but in Sadar Mobile Market you will see dozens of dealers those who import and sell these phones giving 7 to 30 days warranty. What good is that warranty when that smartphone has no 3G or 4G facility? total waste.

INCPak is my format where I have some principles not to disguise anyone, we as the team of contributors been sharing useful and technical information using this platform as one of the key important factor to spread awareness and so far we’ve been successful in it. People on the social media mixing up Bytes.pk and INCPak altogether which is totally wrong, both are different entities owned by different CEOs. I Own INCPak and I work at bytes.pk so kindly don’t mix it up.

There is no point of buying used smartphones at all, If you can’t afford lavishing features and 4k HD display in the price you can pay for?  Get A brand new no matter its Qmobile or Huawei instead of Samsung and LGs, used smartphones, I have personally interacted with so many customers those who had worst experience at bytes.

Personally, I would recommend everyone to purchase only brand new smartphones with Official the warranty,  at least all features works which are mentioned unlike American or African carriers where the baseband is different. My statement is not bad-mouthing about Bytes.pk but as far as you can see all the Mobile Markets are  filled with cheaters selling junk, fooling customers.

I really don’t get the logic being at the point of the bridge in-between the common man and the seller, In my view if the smartphones don’t support Don’t sell them at all, which is why I am sharing over here.

So far LG G3 Sprint has the complaint about connectivity issue, whereas LG Flex 2 had this issue. I am sure INCPak readers would consider this post positive and avoid buying used phones from mobile markets.

Elite 5  astonished me by the battery timing performance, Almost 25 hours Phone idle time with over 6 hours On Screen time, in which I didn’t switch WiFi off for a minute, Split usage timing Youtube 2 hours, 3 hours Facebook/Browsing and an hour setting adjustment playing with the gadget getting familiar with Leagoo Elite 5, with 4000mAh battery backup, You really don’t need to worry about battery draining and carrying a power bank in your pocket !

Leagoo Elite 5 Camera Result 

Leagoo Elite 5 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, Rear Camera is OK however the front camera ( Selfie Cam ) is pretty good as compared to other smartphones in this price range, I am expecting updates from Leagoo Mobile to bring more crisp and sharpness specially in Rear Camera result. Sharing some samples.

Leagoo Elite 5 Connectivity 

The Leagoo Elite 5 smartphone supports 4G LTE, I have checked using Zong 4G, there was no difference between Zong WiFi device and Leagoo Elite 5 Net Speed Test. INCPak Forum members were concerned about 4G working or not, The answer is YES, Works like a Champ !

Wi-Fi works perfect and also the Bluetooth connectivity has no issue at all.

Leagoo Elite 5 Benchmark Story

Although I have no faith in Antutu Benchmark but most of the people evaluate smartphones using these benchmark test results, So in order to clear the doubt cloud sharing the Antutu Benchmark Test Results.

LEAGOO OS 1.1(Android 5.1) Customized version of Lollipop 5.1 The User Interface is not much attractive,  however the gestures and features like IR – Remote Control, Knock On or Double Tab screen wake, also on standby mode if you type  E for Browser, C for Camera, S for contact search, etc… there are few more.

Overall, I didn’t notice any lag issue so far, Elite 5 is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor based on Cortex A53 as well as Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM memory. It can handle almost all the apps running without any problem although I am not a gamer but socially I am active on every single app up and running all the time. The Build Quality is really amazing wasn’t expecting such a device in this price range. Lately, I reviewed Qmobile Z10 and I was totally disappointed to see the Build Quality, Elite 5 isn’t 3GB ram nor Super AMOLED display but in just 12,000 Pakistani Rupees it’s barely impossible to find such a fine looking smartphone which doesn’t look cheap at all.

INSTALLATION:

*Caution: THIS ROM CONTAINS A CUSTOM INCPAK LOGO. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

 MAKE FULL BACKUP FIRST.

1. Download the Recovery + ROM from the link provided above.
2. Copy and paste it inside SD-Card without extracting the zip file.
3. Boot up in Recovery mode Goto Recovery.
4. Once in Recovery Mode, click on Wipe Menu and then Wipe all the four as follows. Wipe Data –Factory Reset (This will erase all your personal data.) Wipe Cache Wipe Dalvik CacheFormatsystem (This will erase your current ROM, so please only do this when you’ve backup of your previous ROM).
5. After the whole Wipe process, click on Install zip and then click on Choose zip sdcard.
6. Now select the zip that you copied to your sd-card in the 2nd Step.
7. Click Yes on any confirmation message regarding the installation of the zip.
8. Rom Flashing may take upto 5 to 7  minutes
9. Once complete, go back to Main Menu and click on Reboot the Phone.
10. Note : First Bootup will take  10-15 minutes, don’t get worried that’s normal … Please be patient.
